It seems as fans are anticipating this years Superbowl halftime show more than the actual game itself. While Maroon 5 along with Travis Scott and Big Boi are this years headliners, they weren't the NFLs first pick. If you remember, last year reports came out saying top artists such as Rihanna,Cardi B, and Jay Z all turned down to preform at the high televised event in a show of solidarity with former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. With just under 24 hours until the big event we decided to take a look back at some of our favorite halftime show performances.
While Coldplay were the headliners of the 2016 Superbowl at Levi's Stadium, it was Beyoncé who stole the show. After Bruno Mars performed his Grammy Award winning song "Uptown Funk," Queen Bey parted through an Ivy Park drum-line and debuted "Formation" off her iconic Lemonade album. While some called the show "too political" Yoncé along with Bruno Mars and Coldplay dominated the California stadium.
